Four Seasons Garden Center Scholarship Awarded
We are pleased to announce the award of the 2008 FSGC Scholarship to Julia Sosin, Berkley High School Class of 2008. This award is made annually to a student who has demonstrated community involvement and leadership skills in relation to business leadership and concern for the environment. Our recipient is not only a great student but is someone who is active in the Berkley High School Environmental Club, who is on the Water Committee for the Good Neighbors Garden of Ferndale, and a member of Detroit's Garden Resource Program. Her career goals are to work in environmental studies/urban planning where she hopes to incorporate agriculture in these areas. Ms. Sosin will attend Wayne State University in the fall to pursue a major in Environmental Studies.
